Antonia Cummings

Antonia Cummings, also known as Miss Toni, is a Dancer-Teacher-
Choreographer who brings her own unique style to the studio. Miss Toni grew
up in Brisbane and started dancing at 4 years old, studying jazz, tap,
contemporary, hip hop, ballet and pointe at D.L.D.C. At a young age she had
the opportunity to experience the dance industry through performing in well-
known events including Channel 7’s Lord Mayors Christmas Carols, the
Goodwill Games Opening Ceremony and Channel 9’s Australian Fashion
Awards. In 2005 she was accepted into Queensland Dance School of
Excellence, which then led Miss Toni to further her studies in Sydney at Brent
Street Studios in 2007 and Ev & Bow Full-time Contemporary School in 2008.
Miss Toni performed and appeared in several commercial gigs, however, she
wanted to explore her love for contemporary and while studying with Sarah
Boulter she had the opportunity to assist Sarah with the choreography on So
You Think You Can Dance Series 2 in 2008. That same year Miss Toni’s
profession then ventured to Perth to perform Graeme Murphy’s opera, Aida.
Although Miss Toni loves to perform, her heart’s desire is to teach the next
generation of children. She has taught at Eva Kahout School of Dance, Mad
Dance House, Sayers Dance Centre, Redlands Dance, Elite Dance Academy
and is now excited to be apart of Gerrard’s Performing Arts Centre and share
her knowledge, passion and love for dance.
